For BMR this calculator is using The Harris-Benedict equations:

BMR For Women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight in kg) + (3.098 x height in cm) - (4.330 x age in years)

NOTE: Although These equations are widely used and have been shown to be accurate in most cases. However, it's important to note that individual factors such as muscle mass, activity level, and genetics can affect BMR accuracy.

BMI Fitness (Body Mass Index)

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measure of body fat percentage based on a person's weight, height and their age. It is calculated by dividing a person's weight in kilograms by the square of their height in meters (weight (kg) / height (m)^2). The resulting number is then used to categorize the person's weight status as underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese. However, it's important to note that BMI is not always a perfect indicator of health, as it doesn't take into account factors such as muscle mass or body composition.

BMR Fitness (Basal Metabolic Rate)

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), on the other hand, is a measure of the number of calories a person's body needs to perform basic, life-sustaining functions such as breathing, circulating blood, and regulating body temperature. It is mainly influenced by a person's weight, height, age, and sex. Knowing your BMR can help you determine how many calories you need to consume each day to maintain your current weight, or how many calories you need to cut to lose weight.
